What is the EnVision Community?
Imagine what it would be like to be part of a community that is...
We are committed to being an intentionally inclusive and welcoming community of faith, centered in the Good News of Jesus Christ. Therefore, in faithfulness to the Gospel and our Disciples heritage, and to the best of our ability, we seek to provide programs, ministries, and pastoral care to all who seek God in this place.
We strive to be a place where you can be real. At EnVision, you will be loved and accepted. We are a community of people trying to genuinely connect with God and each other. You—the REAL you—is welcome to join us.
We love trying new things. For us, being creative means taking risks. We are not afraid to fail. It means that we are constantly looking for new ways to worship, to connect, and to express our faith.
Although we are all at different points in life’s journey, as followers of Jesus, we are trying to best live into being the people who God envisions us to be.
We would love to have you on the journey with us.
The Envision Community at First Christian Church is intentionally welcoming and affirming to all. As Disciples are Christ, we do not require adherence to certain beliefs or creeds (we are historically ‘non-creedal’). Questions and questioning welcome! We envision a community that is purposefully inclusive, where all feel safe, valued, cared for, and with opportunities for meaningful connections with each other and the Divine. We cherish diversity in humanity—in age, race, ethnicity, origin, abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.
