Advent Devotions 2011
Advent is the four-week period of time leading up to Christmas. It is a time of spiritual preparations for the arrival of the Christ Child. Just as much as we clean our homes before hosting a Christmas party so we need to do a bit (or a lot) of cleaning in the messy area between our ears and in our hearts and of all the messes that our hands and tongues make!
This year's Advent Devotions are inspired by great Advent and Christmas hymns and carols. There is one devotion for each day of the season, ending on Christmas Day.
The devotions were writting by Rev. John Burton, Rev. Cassie Sexton, Rev. Oran Nabors, Rev. Steve Shewmake, Director of Music Mark Graham, Olivia Countryman, and Charlotte Stephens, all active members of First Christian Church.
