On Wednesday nights members and friends gather in the fellowship hall for a wonderful fellowship meal. Our rule is that no one has to cook on Wednesday night – except for the church cooks! This is not a "pot-luck." Our rotating teams of cooks come up with a full meal and dessert. Everyone chips in a few dollars to cover costs. The order of business is fellowship. This is the best place to get to know members of the congregation, tell jokes, share information about the community, and make plans for get togethers
Our Book Club, led by joann Boyd, meets the third Wednesaday of each month in the Church Library at 11:00 a.m. The group discusses a different book each month.
For more information contact Joann Boyd through the Church Office at 940-566-4990.
One of our newest fellowship activities are our Supper Clubs. We currently have three supper groups of about 10 members each which either go out for dinner or switch between member's homes for pot luck meals. Either way there is great fellowship and plenty of calories to go around.
Tablehoppers is a "last Sunday of the month" luncheon group. A different restaurant is named each month and after church we rush "to beat the Baptists" and everyone else. Usually about 40+ people dine together. It is all dutch-treat. This is a great way to get to know other members and visitors of the church. Tablehoppers does not meet in December or on Easter or during the summer.
