Reverend Kristin Galle
Senior Minister
Kristin began her ministry with First Christian Church, March of 2021, having previous years of experience serving other congregations in transitional and interim ministry, and collecting resources and experiences for congregations during times of visioning and change. As the church reflected on that past year of pandemic, FCC recognized that much is and has been changing throughout the Church (in general) and society!
Kristin’s journey in ministry led her in through a variety of positions in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the United Church of Christ (where she was ordained), the Presbyterian Church USA (Master of Divinity degree is from Austin Presb. Theological Seminary and is married to a Presbyterian minister), and the ELCA—Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (where she learned to cant.) She’s also spent a year as a hospital chaplain intern (4 units of CPE) and 4 years as a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator. She’s been a counselor and co-director at summer church camp, working with children and youth (having loved camp as a kid!)
Kristin envisions community as a place where diverse voices and experiences gather in faith to be a vibrant congregation in Denton and beyond. She has engaged in doctoral studies in a continued journey finding resources to proclaim Good News in relevant ways. She is married to Rev. Dr. Brent Hampton, have three wonderful daughters, three fabulous son-in-love’s and one grandchild. Kristin loves wildflowers, reading, cooking, travel, playing a variety of card games and has been known to hang out in game stores playing Magic: the Gathering. She loves conversations about faith and science, and exploring diverse ways to create safe and healthy community where people of all ages, race, culture, and gender can hear and find identity within sacred stories of faith.
