Reverend Kristin Galle
Senior Minister

Kristin began her ministry with First Christian Church, March of 2021. Kristin loves living in Denton, with lots of live music and many creative people and experiences. She seeks to find ways to proclaim Good News in relevant ways. Previous to moving here, she served a number of other congregations in transitional and interim ministry. Over her 20+ years of ministry, she truly enjoys thinking creatively about faith and ministry while collecting resources and narratives about living out faith, especially during times of change. And, life seems to be full of change!
Kristin’s journey in ministry led her through a variety of positions in the Christian Church--Disciples of Christ. She has also worked with the United Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church USA (her Master of Divinity degree is from Austin Presb. Theological Seminary and she’s married to a Presbyterian minister), and the ELCA—Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. There was also a year spent as a hospital chaplain intern (4 units of CPE) and 4 years as a hospice chaplain & bereavement coordinator. On the lighter side, since she loved church camp as a kid, she also has been a counselor and co-director at summer church camp.
Kristin envisions community as a place where diverse voices and experiences gather in faith to be a vibrant congregation in Denton and beyond. She is married to Rev. Dr. Brent Hampton, has three wonderful daughters, three fabulous son-in-love’s and a couple of adorable grandchildren. Kristin loves great music, wildflowers, cooking, travel, playing a variety of card games and has been known to hang out in local game stores playing Magic: the Gathering. She loves conversations about faith and science, exploring diverse ways to create safe and healthy community, and encouraging people of from different ages, backgrounds, culture and identity to find meaning within sacred stories of faith and life.
